Set in the summer wistfulness of a hazy afternoon, Passion Pit’s new video is the constant conversation of a countryside tea party. The wealthy characters lose their masks of poise and sophistication as they delve into hushed rendezvous. The video is reminiscent of a 1920s summer social event, where make-believe happiness conceals knotted passion and pain, which secretly unravel in the trysts of quiet, vacant corners.
The video was directed by Dori Oskowitz and features appearances from Taryn Manning (actress in 8 Mile and lead singer of Boomkat) and Peter Bogdanovich (directed “The Last Picture Show” and “The Sopranos”). “Constant Conversations” is the third single of Passion Pit’s Gossamer, which was released July 24.
